the FIRST night

The first course was Hen of the Woods marinated with orchids, bergamot, lillies, and other flowers.
The lasagne was homemade noodles, of course, with veggies, ricotta, mozzarella, locatelli.
Sort of simple salad and then chocolate ice cream made with Dutch chocolate.

Second night

The avocado was filled with sort of guacamole, but rougher.
Inside the scallop shells were snow crab claws, shrimp, and scallops, all wild caught, topped with seaweed and wine sauce.
Great salad: cipione onions, cucumbers,watercress from my pond, and who knows what else.
After the banon and little italian goat cheese, we had triple strawberry dessert: the fruit, meringue and ice cream
Of course very American wine from Pa. on July 4th

Third night

This was our traditional terrorist buffet: laban, baba ghanouj, taramasalata, hummus, dolmas, olives, tabbouleh, swordfish kebabs, my pitas.
Of course baklava. Greek wine. The kids mostly didn't like any of it. C'est la vie, as they say in Yiddish.
